Circa Information is pleased to announce a new service – Course Design and Development.

Taking advantage of experience in:

·          IT Service Design, Transition, Operations and, Continual Service Improvement;

·          ITIL training and consulting;

·          Certification and custom course design, development, and delivery including ITIL Foundation, Foundation Bridge, Service Operation, Operational Support & Analysis, and Managers Bridge as well as custom built and commercial ITSM software.


 

Existing Syllabus

Custom Materials

FAST

A one day certification course with an existing syllabus can be delivered in as little one week

A completely custom one day course can be produced in as little as two weeks.

EFFICIENT

We have years of experience in providing standards education, local process instruction, and practice using customized tools all in one session.

EFFECTIVE

Using syllabi from ISEB or other certification bodies, we will complete all materials required by the syllabus including course timelines, instructor notes, and exercises.

Circa Information will identify Performance Objectives using recognized business analysis principles.  Learning Objectives are then derived by applying Subject Matter Expertise.

Courses can be developed for many delivery methods:  in class, online, in a computer lab setting, as self-directed training, and even for handheld devices.

Where needed, graphics artists are engaged to provide a full, clear depictions of complex concepts.

 


Circa Information Objectives Based Course Design Process



Our Objectives Based Course Design Process starts with overall Performance Objectives.  What must participants be able to do they complete the course? How long is the course? How will the course be delivered - Instructor Led Classroom, Web Based & Instructor Led, Self Instruction? What percentage of the could will be allocated for lecture, exercises, exam prep?

The Project Charter includes a schedule to ensure date, cost, and quality requirements are always met and responsibilities are clearly documented.


During meetings with key stakeholders and local Subject Matter Experts, or using an existing syllabus, detailed Learning Objectives are developed based on the Course Performance Objectives. This includes documentation of priorities, time allocations, and testing requirements.

Teaching methods are selected based on available time and Adult Education princpiles and include minimual lecture time with maximum use of practical exercises.


Well defined and prioritized Learning Objectives are then translated into discrete Lesson Objectives.  All necessary course material is identified and covered; no time is wasted on unneeded information.

Objective priority and level of difficulty are used allocate time effectively.
Materials are produced to meet requirements, using your templates or our own and Job Aids are developed so that, back on the job, participants have easy access to key course materials to increase overall efficiency and effectiveness.

 

Clear milestone reports are produced at each stage, and we apply proven course design and development techniques throughout. 

Strict version control is maintained and Instructor Notes can be provided in a Wiki interface for ease of access.
